How can we understand fake love when love it's self has no perfect definition, how can we?
Here in the Enternal ones web page we will be discussing this in different episodes to help us have a good understanding of love and with a good understand of love, we will be able to identify the fake.
First we need to clarify that Love is 80% a decision and 20% emotions. Yes love is a decision we make and not just a feeling because feelings can be manipulated, anybody can create a feeling for you, anyone can transfer their feelings to another person, help anyone creating a strong emotions in their hearts which most time we confuse for love, an encounter can create a feeling that we can also confuse for love because our emotions are involved, words can create feelings too, this is why must of the times many individuals have been victims of heartbreaks because this individual ended up loving people who were not sincere and wanted something from them.
This is why we need to have a good understanding of love so that we will not be manipulated by our emotions because Truth be told, most times our emotions makes us weak, this is why it is important for us to know how to channel our emotions towards the right directions to help us to be stronger than we were.
Proverbs 4:23, Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Above everything you care for, protect your heart with everything you got, I mean protect your heart with every understanding, knowledge or any decisions you have to make to see to it that your heart is protected.
Because.
Jeremiah 17:9, The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
The word of God just made it clear, do you remember what we discussed about earlier, most times we confuse our emotions for love and we end up becoming victims of our own feelings, so we find ourselves pointing fingers at the wrong side while we are supposed to be paying attention to what is going in the inside of us.
We must learn to protect and put our hearts under control, this is very important and necessary, life is full of villains all over the place so we need to know how we can be the heroes in situations that may want to bring us down in life.
If you remember the word of God said for everything you do flows from it, talking about our hearts, so it is very important for us to have a good understanding of what love is, in other for us to be able to identify or understand fake love when we come in contact with one.
There are two kind of fake love we need to be aware of.
1. Love based on emotions only: this kind of love will only last for a very short period of time, because once the reasons why the emotions came in the first place is no more, that love story is over.
2. Love based on interior motives: this is the famous one, a love based on a desire to get something from anyone, a very dangerous moves we need to watch out for.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
From everything we see here in the word of God, it is very clear that love is not just an emotion but a decision backed up by a genuine emotion.
It's says love does not keeps record of wrongs, this act on it own can only be achieved by a decision that has been made, because if love is an emotion, we will always find ourselves in an emotional state of mind and we will be unstable in everything we do, so how is it now possible for someone who is emotional not keep record of wrongs because they will always carry their hurts with them always.
It's says love always protects here again we see that love is not an emotion but a decision made because you can not protect another person when you are always thinking of your self, when a person is emotional 90% of their thoughts is all about what they can get and not what they can give, so here we will see that true love protects.
It also said love trusts, wow this is awesome, love is trust, here we see something very strong, you can only trust someone when you know them well enough, we talking about knowing them for a very long time or you have seen good records and evidence of their potentials and pasts, so here we see that you can not trust a person based on emotions but based on knowledge of that person, so here we see that once again true love is not emotions but a decision made out of genuine emotion.
This is what we mean by genius emotions, when your feelings towards a person is not based on expectations but on the fact that you know that person and you believe in that person, that is what we call genius emotions.
And only one we are to be sure of when it comes to genuine emotions is God our Creator, He created us and He knows us more than the way we think we know ourselves and this is what He did.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Because of the great love God has for us, He decided to save mankind from everlasting condemnation in Hell because of the failure of the first man created "Adam" but God Rich in Mercy made a way for our redemption by the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ on the cross, with His blood shade on the cross salvation is now made available to all mankind.
This is why it is important that we all believe in God and His son Jesus Christ and get to know them more, for this is Enternal life.
